| The Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for a one-year position as adjunct assistant professor in astronomy or astrophysics beginning August 2008. We seek applicants with a Ph.D. in astronomy or astrophysics who have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate education. The successful applicant will be expected to teach a wide range of undergraduate astronomy and astrophysics courses (nd possibly phyiscs courses as well). Applicants should submit a current c.v., academic transcripts, documented evidence of teaching excellence, and a list of three references to Andrew Ware, Search Committee Chair, Department of Physics and Astronomy, 32 Campus Drive #1080, University of Montana, Missoula, Montana 59812.
